Rustie Lee Christian

Rustie Lee Christian, age 40, of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away at home on March 5, 2026. Born on March 18, 1985, he was the son of Rodney Hunt and Melinda (Christian) Detillion. Rustie shared nearly 25 years with the love of his life, Shannon (Porter) Christian.

He was preceded in death by his son, Braxton Christian, and his grandparents, Bonnie Christian, Donald Christian, Frank Messer, and James Hunt.

Rustie is survived by his wife, Shannon Christian; parents, Rodney (Stacey) Hunt and Melinda (Brian) Detillion; grandmother, Roxanne Messer; children, Jordan (Jada) Christian, Gavin Christian, Naudia Christian, and Arabelle Christian; siblings, Natasha Schoffner, Brittany Hunt, Jacob Hunt, and Alexis Christian; parents-in-law, Tony Porter and Diane Kerns; sister-in-law, Shelby Porter; and brother-in-law, Shawn Porter.

A mechanically gifted man, Rustie loved working on cars and attending car shows. He approached life with determination and skill, always ready to lend a helping hand to others. He cherished family vacations, camping trips, and fishing outings, and found great joy in cooking dinner at home. Above all, Rustie treasured the time spent with his family, who remained the center of his world.
