Russell was the son of the late James Russell & Martha Hays Sims. He was preceded by his brother Robert "Bobby" Sims and a sister Sharon Locke-Racz.Russell is survived by a daughter Angelia Fredell(Michael) of Simpsonville, two sons Kyle Sims of Munfordville and Blake Sims of Bowling Green, two grandchildren Matthew Case & Madison Case Kennedy, two great-grandchildren Rowan Kennedy and Rosemary Kennedy; two brothers Jack Sims and Tom Sims.A memorial visitation for Russell Sims will be held Wednesday, March 18th from 10am-11am at the Sego Funeral Home with the memorial service at 11am.Russell was a registered organ donor with Network for Hope and his wishes were honored as the family chose cremation.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
