Russell Stabile ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. - Sterling Heights on Mar. 10, 2026.STABILE, Russell Sam. March 8, 2026. Age 83. Beloved husband of Mary Lou (nee: Martin). Loving father of Susan Fiorillo (Steve), Karen Mulroy (Tom), Christine Stabile, and Robert Stabile (Chuck La Chance). Proud and loving Papa of Sean and Megan Mulroy and Maria and Paul Fiorillo. Dear brother of Anthony Stabile (Brenda) and the late Rosemary Ales (the late Pat). Russell was a vibrant soul whose competitive spirit and love for life made him truly one of a kind. An accomplished athlete, he excelled in football, track, hockey, and basketball, showcasing his fierce determination and passion for sports. Russell loved playing games, especially cards, where his playfully competitive nature created lasting bonds with family and friends. His love for cooking was equally profound. Russell cherished every moment spent at the table, creating meals and telling stories that brought people together. He always made sure that everyone had a place at the table, filling his home with warmth and laughter. He was happiest when he was surrounded by people he loved sharing a meal. With a natural gift for storytelling, Russell could light up any room. He loved people, food, and life itself, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments that will inspire all who knew him. A Mass to honor Russell's life will be said Thursday at 11am at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, 771 Old Perch Rd. (N. of Avon, between Adams and Livernois), Rochester Hills. The family will receive guests in the church beginning at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the OPC Social & Activity Center of Rochester Hills (https://opccenter.org/ways-to-give/) and would be appreciated.
