Reser, III, 79, passed away on March 14, 2026, at 12:25 p.m. at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.Russ was born November 28, 1946, in Lima, Ohio, to Russell "Ray" and Viola (Borack) Reser, who both preceded him in death.Russ graduated from Elida High School. He was the floor manager at Nickles Bakery and had over forty-three years of dedicated service. In his younger years, he greatly enjoyed playing in softball and bowling leagues with his Nickles coworkers. He loved his children dearly and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved spending time with his Labrador Retrievers and enjoyed the occasional visits from the adopted neighborhood cat.Survivors include his son, Shane (Christina) Reser of Lima, Ohio; son, Sean Reser of Lima, Ohio; daughter, Amy Reser of Lima, Ohio; grandchildren, Alysa Rader, Hailey Reser, and Alayna Rader; sister, Sandra "Sandy"; brother, Brian; and his former spouse, Marilyn (Kohnen) Reser of Lima, Ohio.He was preceded in death by his sisters, Julie and Freda.Arrangements will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
