Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home on Mar. 13, 2026.Russell Lee Perrine, of Mount Prospect, IL passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at age 84.Russ was kind, loving, gentle and full of humor. He loved spending time with his friends and family, and going out for a nice meal. He spent his free time helping to watch his granddaughter, Sydney (7), being the all around handyman, doing his duties as president of his association, volunteering at the church and with the Knights of Columbus. Russ's joyful spirit was evident to all who knew him.Russell is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Lily June; their children, Chrystal Chang (James) and Tammy Chang (Chad); his grandchildren, Luke, Claire, and Sydney; his sisters, Catherine (Bill) Crawford and Barbara Putnam, and his brother Robert (Ruth) Perrine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Byrne and Irene Perrine.A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, March 20, at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine Laboure, 3535 Thornwood in Glenview.
