Russell Hayden Videan Jr., age 79, of Lowell, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Russell Videan Sr.; grandson Dylan Griffin; brother Donald Videan; parents-in-law Jack and Pat Tousignaut; brothers-in-law Harvey Eickhoff and Monty Tousignaut; and sisters-in-law Ruth Videan and Molly Videan.
Russ is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sandy, with whom he shared a lifetime of devotion and companionship. He is also survived by his children, Jeffrey Videan (Jodi Bott), Tina (Doug) Stranger, and Becky (Greg) Griffin; grandchildren Heather (Lance) Jones, Hunter Videan, Austin Griffin, Brayden Griffin, Caylee Griffin, Kelsey Perow, Jordan (Courtney) Perow, and Cody (Kirsten) Stranger; and great-grandchildren Lincoln, Hudson, Urijah, Bella, Ellie, Keiran, and Asher. He is further survived by his sisters Shirley Eickhoff and Mickey (Tom) Bogerd; brothers Bob Videan, John Videan, and Denny (Jacque) Videan; sisters-in-law Margaret Videan and Sherry Thuston; along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Russ dedicated 35 years of service to Amway before retiring and later continued working with DWP Corp. He had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, and riding horses. Horses held a special place in his heart, and he was proud to be a “horse dad.” He generously shared that passion as a 4-H leader and coach of the local equestrian team, encouraging many young riders. He also stayed active through softball, bowling—where he once rolled a perfect 300 game—and friendly games of cards. Above all, Russ cherished time with Sandy, whether at their cabin in northern Michigan, on casino outings, or playing bingo together. A proud and devoted grandfather, he rarely missed his grandchildren’s sporting events or horse shows, always cheering from the stands or sidelines with his characteristic encouragement and sense of humor. His steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
