Russell Earl Littlejohn, age 77 of St. Thomas, ND, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.Russell was born December 12, 1948 in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Earl and Marion (Heazlett) Littlejohn. He attended elementary school in Glasston and graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1966. Russell was united in marriage to Connie Lou Muth on November 29, 1969 in Cavalier, ND. They made their home in St. Thomas, building their family with Chris, Holly, Carrie, and Jeremy.Russell had a lifelong passion for the outdoors. If he wasn't working in the fields for the Kennelly Company and McMartin Farms of St. Thomas, he was taking care of his lawn, many plants and animals, and spending time camping. Following Connie's passing, he found love with his yard and flowers. His family and friends admired his amazing ability to tell stories and his wonderful sense of humor.Russell is survived by his children: Chris (Shannon) Littlejohn, Grand Forks, ND, Holly (Mark) Hannesson, Parshall, ND, Carrie (Jason) Lizakowski and Jeremy Littlejohn, both of Grafton, ND; grandchildren: Austin (Alisha) Littlejohn, Cameron (Allison) Littlejohn, Scott Tweten, Mike (Kari) Tweten, Kaitlyn (Michelle) Alvarez, Darion (Megan) Hannesson, Ashlynn (Tristyn Craig) Hannesson, MacKenzie (Chad Johnson) Lizakowski, Kyler and Kendall Lizakowski, Amelia, Maisy, Theia, and Elsie Littejohn; great grandchildren: Lainee, Lacey, Grayson, Emersyn, Saylor, Eleanor, Kya, Jaxson, Beckett, Quinten, Cleo, McKenlee, and Grayson: siblings: Lowen (Bonna) Littlejohn, Barb (Larry) Tanke, and Becky (Randy) Domier; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Marion Littlejohn; wife Connie Lou; and brothers Gary and Randy Littlejohn.A Celebration of Life will be held at the St. Thomas Fire Hall on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 3-5 PM. Visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2026 from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton.
