He is survived by: his wife Barbara Swody (Hutzler); his daughter Wendy Brown (Joseph); his siblings, Ralph Swody and Sharon Bellisano; his grandchildren, Megan Yakoski and Prestyn Brown; his great grandchild Lenora Haraschak; and his son Russell Swody.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (99 E Tioga St, Tunkhannock, PA 18657).
