It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rufus Robinson Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Rufus is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dante Jelks Funeral Home (4904 1st Ave N, Birmingham, AL 35222). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at the Zion Memorial Gardens (501 Tarrant Huffman Rd, Birmingham, AL 35206).
