Rudy Roybal, born on May 7, 1940, in Walsenburg, Colorado, passed away on March 11, 2026, at the age of 85. He moved with his family to Denver at a young age, attended Mitchell and Cole schools, and graduated from Manual High School. Rudy and his wife Juanita were childhood sweethearts who married on September 7, 1957, and shared 68 devoted years together.

He began his career at the Pawley Company as a shipping clerk, attended night school for ten years, and retired after 43 years as the company’s accountant. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Rudy loved the Denver Broncos—holding season tickets since 1963—as well as the New York Yankees and Boston Celtics. He was also blessed to travel extensively throughout his life.

Rudy was baptized into the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in March 1995 and remained an active and faithful member. He served with dedication as treasurer of the International SDA Company for 35 years and participated in many outreach ministries.

He is survived by his wife Juanita, children Julie Roybal, Arlene McClellen (Steve), Rhonda Ficco (Kevin), Desiree Turner (Brian), and Rudy Jr. (Devan), grandchildren Matthew and Steven McClellen, Anthony and Natalie Ficco, Trinity and Savanna Turner, and Austin, Tristin and Caydance Roybal, and great-grandchildren Ashlyn, JJ, Caleb, Quinn, Avery, Noah, and Rowan. He was preceded in death by his parents Rose Costello and Elias Roybal, sister DeDe Lucero, and brothers John, Ernie, and Joe Costello.
