Ruby Renfro Brock

Mrs. Ruby Rae Renfro Brock, 94, of Richmond, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, just two days after her husband George Brock. She was born in Madison County in the Cuzick Community, the daughter of the late Welch and Annie Lowery Renfro.

As a young woman, Ruby worked at Bob’s Diner, the Silver Diner, and later in the cafeteria at Eastern Kentucky University. She found quiet joy in sewing, crocheting, working word search puzzles, and most of all, spending time with her family. A woman of Baptist faith, she had been a longtime member of Newby Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Brock Evans; her grandson, Robert Evans; her sister, Alene Renfro; her nephew, Cleo Renfro; her great-niece, Rachel Renfro; and the many friends she considered family during her 32 years at Madison Towers.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruby was preceded in death by her brothers, Welch Renfro Jr., Winston Renfro, and Wallace Renfro, and her sister, Florine Renfro.
