Ruben is the beloved husband of Alicia Vega Gonzalez. He is also survived by Milagros Perez Olavarria (mother), his brothers, Rogelio Gonzalez (Kathy A. Riquelme), Jimmy Gonzalez and Carlos Gonzalez (Aimee Segarra). He is preceded in death by Isidro Gonzalez Mercado (father) and Hector Gonzalez (brother). He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, life long friends and acquaintances.Ruben had a HUGE heart; he was a compassionate human being, kind, selfless, and gentle. He had a great sense of humor. His love for his family had no end. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially in Puerto Rico, and with his friends. He had a great love for animals, nature, music and sports.Ruben's passing will be mourned deeply by those who love him.Even after death, Ruben continues to give to others. Through the GIFT OF HOPE, Ruben continues to help others. His memory and part of him will continue to live on.Until we meet again, babe.
