He was in his 88th year. Born on the 21st day of January 1938 in Indian Trail North Carolina, he was the Son of the late Roy Augusta Smith and Ruby Gertrude Pinion.He honorably served in the United States Air Force. He was married to his wife Barbara Annette Belk for 61 years. He is survived by his daughter: Terisa Dee Smith Russell (Shane); his son: Roger Wayne Smith (Debra); his daughter Candace Ann Smith McGuinness (Tim); and his son: Reginald Warren Smith (Magda); 4 grandchildren: Mariah McGuinness, Rachel McGuinness, Austin Smith (Tina), Taylor McCall (Jeremy); and 4 great grandchildren.He was a member of the Lake Murray Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving wherever he was called to serve. He was a Past Master of Lexington Masonic Lodge #152 and Past President of Columbia Lodge #2 Woodman of the World. He was a member of both Scottish Rites and York Rite Masonic Bodies and a member of the Jamil Shrine.A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, March 13th at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2224 Augusta Hwy., Lexington, SC 29072, followed by a visitation. Burial will be at Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Monday March 16th at 2 p.m.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
