Roy S. Weyant, 76, of King, passed away on March 13, 2026, at UPMC-Presbyterian. Born on March 25, 1949, in Rock Hill Furnace, he was the son of the late Edgar Myrl and Anna Mary (Hoenstine) Weyant. On October 2, 1970, in Winchester, Virginia, he married Diane Eicher, who survives him.
Roy graduated from Bloomfield High School in New Mexico in 1967 and earned a B.S. in Education from Bethel University in Mishawaka, Indiana. He worked for 28 years as a heavy equipment operator for Leonard S. Fiore, retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Martinsburg and Hopewell Sportsman’s Clubs and found joy in hunting, coin collecting, short track racing, gun shows, flea markets, and auctions. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Diane; daughters Jennifer Erdman and her husband Daniel of West Middlesex, Shannon Davis of Altoona, and Elizabeth Smith and her husband Travis of Hopewell; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Davis, Kala Wooten, Dariann Romian, Dalton Davis, McKenzie Erdman, Sidney Davis, Avery Smith, and Colton Smith; two great-grandchildren, Adelynn Davis and Jeffrey Davis Jr.; sisters Yetta Ruth Bengtson of Florida and Mary Ann Merryman of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Bill Davis.
