Roy Paridaen passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was 99. Born in Mishawaka on November 12, 1926, to Joseph and Martha (DeVleeschouwer) Paridaen, Roy was the youngest of four siblings: Albert, Camiel, Elizabeth, and Roy.

After graduating from Mishawaka High School, he began his career in the Tool & Die trade as an apprentice. Following his service in the Army and an honorable discharge, he returned to complete his apprenticeship. Roy spent his working life in the Tool & Die field, eventually becoming a part owner of Alumni Tool & Die before retiring in 1982.

In 1949, Roy married Virginia Hunt. Together they raised three sons: Rick (Connie) Paridaen, Martin (Lisa) Paridaen, and Kurtis (Joellen) Paridaen. In 1981, he married Marilyn Vance Bowman, and his family grew to include stepdaughters Denise Gosztola, Michelle (Jim) McDonald, and Stacie (Brian) Campbell. Roy and Marilyn spent 22 cherished years together in Sun City, Ruskin, Florida.

Roy took great pride in his Belgian heritage and remained a devoted member of the BK Club for more than 80 years, where he enjoyed sharing stories with friends over a cold beer, playing Euchre, and socializing. He was blessed with a large and loving family, including 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Albert and Camiel, first wife Virginia, sons Martin and Kurtis, and great-grandchildren William, Foster, and Miles. Roy is survived by his wife Marilyn, son Rick, and stepdaughters Denise, Michelle, and Stacie.
