Roy Lee Walker passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on February 22, 1937, in Peaster, Texas, to Joe and Rosa Lee Walker, Roy served his country as a medic in the Army. He was known for his strong work ethic, continuing to work well into his eighties. He was especially recognized for running the Weatherford Market alongside his brother Jerry and for operating the Weatherford Marina.
Roy found great joy in simple pleasures. He loved watching and feeding his flocks of chickens and birds, caring for deer and other wildlife, attending auctions, tending his vegetable garden, embarking on treasure hunts, and sharing coffee with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Rosa Lee Walker; his brothers, Herschel, Kenneth, Joe Bob, and Jerry Walker; and his sisters, Pauline Hogg and Mildred White.
Roy is survived by his three children, Vickie Griffin and her husband Donny of Fort Worth, Texas, Owana Partain and her husband Mike of Arlington, Texas, and Casey Walker and his wife Kit of Youngstown, Florida; his grandchildren and their spouses, Charles Griffin and Summer, Samantha Mann and Dickson, Kenneth Price and Crystal, and Joseph Price; his great-grandchildren, Dakota Bullon, Delanie Belknap, Madison Price, Easton Walker Price, Kameron Price, Jordan Whitely, and Jaiman Whitely; and many nieces and nephews.
