Roslynn A. Bol, 78, of Shadeland, Indiana, passed away on March 14, 2026, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. Born on January 27, 1948, in Huntington, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Edythe Matney. She married Richard A. Bol on August 2, 1969, at Central Presbyterian Church in Lafayette. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2021.
A 1966 graduate of Southwestern High School, Roslynn attended Indiana State University for two years. From 1990 to 2014, she worked as a secretary in the Counseling and Education department at Purdue University, where her professionalism and gentle nature earned the respect and affection of colleagues and students. She enjoyed attending car shows and cherished family camping trips to New Buffalo, Michigan, and Turkey Run, where her laughter and quirky sense of humor were always present. A woman of deep faith, she remained a devoted member of Central Presbyterian Church for many decades.
Above all, Roslynn took the greatest pride in her family. She is remembered with love by her sons, Benjamin H. Bol and his wife Kelly, and Richard Allen Bol II. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Austin and Jonathan Hartz, and her great-grandchildren, Theo and Oliver Hartz. These family bonds brought her enduring joy and meaning throughout her life.
She is reunited with her parents, her husband Richard, and her brother Frederick Matney.
