Rosemary Johanna Juif

Rosemary Johanna Juif, age 92, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Negaunee, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family and in the care of Lake Superior Hospice.

Born on February 12, 1934, in Detroit to George and Winifred (Miles) Delaney, Rosemary graduated from St. Philip Neri Catholic School. Her deep faith remained a steady guide throughout her life, shaping her path with grace and quiet kindness. A devoted homemaker, she poured her heart into nurturing her family and took special delight in every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren.

Rosemary found great joy on the golf course, where she enjoyed both the game and the camaraderie it brought. She also cherished traveling to new places, collecting stories and experiences that enriched her life. Swimming brought her additional peace and freedom, offering quiet moments of solace in the water.

She is survived by her sister, Winnifred Kramer; her children Kathleen (Jeff) Mell, Timothy (Allison) Juif, Ellen (Tony) Alfonsi, Diane Lawton, and Robert Juif; her grandchildren Trevor, Jeff and Katie, Joe and Jake, Jason, Ryan, Renee and Jacqueline, Kristina and Tony, Shana and Nicole, Ashley, and Emma and Quinn; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Juif in 2010, her children Michael Juif, Marianne Masserang, James Juif, and Maureen Juif, and her brother George Delaney.
