RoseMary Hunter, born on October 14, 1942, in Three Rivers, Michigan, to Luster and Dorothea Liby, passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2026, at the age of 83.
She was the beloved sister of the late Rodney, Ray, and Jim Liby, and is survived by her devoted sister, Brenda Rentfrow, and brother-in-law, Jack Rentfrow. On August 21, 1965, RoseMary married Douglas G. Hunter in Centreville, Michigan. Together they shared more than 60 years of loving companionship, enjoying travels, hiking, water skiing, jet-skiing, snowmobiling, camping, and cheering at countless athletic events with family and friends.
A 1960 graduate of Centreville High School, RoseMary earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and a Master’s Degree in Guidance Counseling. She devoted her career to teaching music, French, and serving as a guidance counselor in the schools of Branch and St. Joseph counties. She was a longtime member of the Constantine United Methodist Church and worked for many years as a Mary Kay beauty consultant.
RoseMary is survived by her children, Marc (Joyce) Hunter, Michael (Carmita) Hunter, and Nicole (Laurie) Hunter, and her cherished grandchildren, Madison Hunter, Ross (Carlee) Hunter, Maxwell Hunter, Ryan Nowicki, Carson Hunter, Maya Hunter, and Mari Hunter. She will be remembered for her quick wit, her spirited commentary during Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan games, and the kindness, wisdom, and joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
