Orlando, FL
Rosemary Copple, age 77, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on March 4, 2026, with her loving husband Rick and her brother Mark Shipley by her side. Born in a small town in Southwestern Pennsylvania, she and Rick shared a connection that began before first grade and continued through high school, where they participated together in mixed chorus and other activities. Their marriage of just over a year was the culmination of a lifetime of friendship.
As a young girl, Rosemary attended boarding school for seventh and eighth grades, where she excelled as an accomplished pianist. She spent part of her teenage years on a ranch, creating joyful memories such as ice skating on the pond and gathering neighborhood teenagers to join her. She began her career at a bank before moving through several positions, eventually retiring from the national AFL-CIO. She then served as office manager for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 606 for another 17 years and later founded her own consulting company. Colleagues valued her sharp ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
Rosemary was a dedicated member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. She is survived by her beloved granddaughter Lydia Copple, her brothers Robert Bunting (Paulann), Redding Bunting (Cindy), and Mark Shipley (Roxanne), along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Brant Copple, her mother Mary Catherine Shipley, her father Redding Bunting, and her stepfather Dale Shipley.
She will be remembered for her warmth, her deep love of family, her caring nature, and her generous spirit that led her to support others in reaching their goals.
