She was 89 years old.Rosie, as she was commonly called, was born in Los Angeles, California in 1936. Born to an Italian immigrant father and a first-generation Italian American mother, Rosie was the oldest of two and a wonderful big sister to her beloved brother Victor.Rosie lost her mother at the age of 13 and became the caretaker in the family, lovingly cooking and cleaning for her father and brother.Rosie attended Sacred Heart (all girls) Catholic High School and graduated in 1954. As a teen, she loved to dance and sing and spend time with her family. She was sweet and shy and a very beautiful young woman inside and out.After high school Rosie worked in a bank in Los Angeles. She enjoyed this work but ultimately wanted to become a wife and mother. Her wish came true when she met Michael, the love of her life. They married in 1957. Rosie and Michael started their family right away. By 1965, they had four children, two boys and two girls. The family of six eventually settled in Northern California.Rosie's four children, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren were her true joy in life. She was loved dearly by all of them because of her kindness, compassion, and gentle nature.Rosie and Michael moved to Brentwood in 2002 and became active members of the Immaculate heart of Mary Catholic Church. Rosie volunteered as a greeter for many years until her illness prevented it. People at church fondly knew them as Mike and Rose, the sweetest couple, always side-by-side at the 7:30 mass!Rosie had many loves in her life. She loved cooking and baking. She loved her rose garden and her apple tree. She loved going for walks in the sunshine. She loved music and singing. She was proud to be an Italian, but she was most proud to be a wife and a mother and eventually a grandmother, Rosie's children often describe her as "Our angel on Earth."RoseMarie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. RoseMarie DeMarzo will forever dwell in our hearts. She will always be our beautiful, kind, loving, and selfless Rosie.Services for RoseMarie will be held at: Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 500 Fairview Avenue Brentwood, CA 94513Friday, March 20, 2026 Visitation: 10 AM Funeral Mass: 11 AM.
