She was 87.Born on October 5, 1938, in Tenafly, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Steven Joseph Papp and Elizabeth Papp. Rosemarie was a graduate of Tenafly High School and devoted her life to her family, faith, and the many simple joys that brought people together.Rosemarie was the beloved wife of the late Richard Brescia, Sr., with whom she shared many happy years of marriage. Together they raised a loving family. She was a devoted mother to Steve Brescia and his wife Debbie, Richard Brescia Jr. and his wife Nancy, Michael Brescia, Eric Brescia and his wife Andrea, and the late Edward Brescia.She was the cherished grandmother of Elizabeth, Stefanie, Ricky, Heather, Stevie, Amanda, and Brandon, and the proud great-grandmother of Cora, Aiden, Summer, Spencer, Veronica, and Anastasia.Rosemarie is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marianne Papp and her son Steven, along with many extended family members and dear friends. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Hugo Papp.A lifelong Catholic, Rosemarie most recently attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miller Heights, where her faith remained an important part of her life.Rosemarie found great happiness in caring for her family and spending time with those she loved most. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and music, and loved to sing as a member of the Sweet Adelines. She was also an avid New York Yankees fan, especially fond of Mickey Mantle and Thurman Munson. Rosemarie and her husband enjoyed going for drives together and creating lasting memories with their family.In retirement, Rosemarie and her husband made their home in Florida, where they enjoyed the warm weather and community life. She also had a deep love for animals, especially her dog, Dixie.Above all else, Rosemarie treasured her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kindness, warmth, and devotion to her family will be remembered always.She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Rosemarie's arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
