Roseann Butz, age 99, of Fond du Lac, died on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at St. Francis Home. She was born on January 2, 1927, in St. Joe, WI, the daughter Norbert and Teresa (Kees) Vogds. On September 17, 1949, she married Robert M. Adler at St. Mary’s Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1982. On July 25, 1991, Roseann married Roy L. Butz. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2017.
Roseann worked at Schreiner’s Restaurant for 45 years until retiring in 1990. Roseann was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She was a former SSM Hospice volunteer and former Human Concerns minister for Presentation Church. Roseann loved to play the organ, go ballroom dancing, and she was a member of numerous card playing clubs. Most of all Roseann loved spending time with her family. Her faith was very important to Roseann. She would lead the Rosary at St. Clare Terrace. She always had the most beautiful welcoming smile and was always so joyful to see and talk with anybody.
Survivors include her children, Thomas (Mary Ann) Adler, Judy (Bill) Kaufman, Carol (Thomas Haak) Adler, and Terence Adler; step-children, Thomas (Linda) Butz, Frank (Cyndi) Butz, Jane (Mary Saracino) Butz, Sharon (Doug) Pippus, Sister Nancy Butz CSA, Michael (Pat) Butz, Joseph (Jayne) Butz, Mary (Kalvin Prandy) Butz; grandchildren; Rob (Heather) Adler, Nick (Kelly) Kaufman, Melissa (Bryan) Ellis, Brittany (Justin) Adler-Weeks, Jacob (Kara) Adler; six great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren; her sister, Beatrice Mooney; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; three infant brothers; her granddaughter, Ann Adler; step-son, Roy Butz.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at St. Francis Home Chapel, 33 Everett St, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM in the chapel. Private family entombment will take place at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Roseann’s name may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the Sisters of St. Agnes.
