Rose Maria Garza

Rose Maria Garza, age 90, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, in Richardson, Texas. She was born in Kingsville to Federico Valdez and Alicia Martinez.

Rose devoted more than thirty years to teaching, touching the lives of countless students with her dedication and passion for education. She also held a deep love for travel and found great joy in gathering with family around the table to share meals, stories, and laughter.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose Adan Garza Jr., her brothers Fred Valdez and Francisco Xavier “Jerry” Valdez, and her sister Maria Carmela Avella.

Rose is survived by her three daughters, Sonya (Rusty) Ramsey of Plano, Sandra Garza of Garland, and Annabel Garza of Laredo; her two grandchildren, Logan Ramsey and Taylor Ramsey; and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews who will continue to cherish her memory.
