Rose Clements Johnson

Rose Clements Johnson, age 79, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026. She was raised in the Irish Channel and later made her home in Pumpkin Center, where she spent more than 20 years with her beloved husband, Floyd “Boogie” Johnson. Rose enjoyed painting, crocheting, and creating crafts, happily sharing her creativity with those around her. She retired from United Machinery Corporation after 25 years of dedicated service and was known for her spunky personality, strong spirit, and the joy she brought to family and friends.

She leaves behind her daughter, Angela Scamardo (Joe); sons, Gabby Irwin Jr. (Jonna) and Mark Irwin (Jenny); stepdaughter, Tracy Allo; and her sister, Carol Pace (Jerry), and brothers, Harold Clements (Pat) and John Clements. Rose was a proud grandmother to Tasha Irwin (Gary), Nicole McDaniel (Tim), Joseph Scamardo (Alex), Matthew Scamardo (Olivia), Anthony Thebault (Liz), Colin Irwin, and Brittany Norris, and she was blessed with 12 great-grandchildren, with another on the way.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Boogie Johnson; her mother, Rose Clements; her sister, Laura “Jeanie” Smith; and nephew David Clements. She will be remembered for her strength and the deep love she shared with her family and friends. Her spirit and memory will live on in all who knew and loved her.
