She was the fifth of ten children. Rose was affectionately known as "The Georgia Fox", a name given to her in her early 20's. Rose attended Henry McNeal Turner High School, graduating in 1963. In 1966, she gave birth to her son, Richard Frazier. In 1971, she moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she shared her life with the late Eddie Jones.She confessed her love for Christ at an early age and attended Hunter Hills Methodist Episcopal Church under the leadership of Reverend Edmund T. Kemp, where she developed a love for singing in the choir. She had an amazing voice. Later, she became a member of Hunter Hills First Missionary Baptist Church, serving under the leadership of Reverend Christopher A. Wimberly, Sr. While living in Columbus, she continued her membership at Hunter Hill by faithfully sending her tithes every month.Rose developed a passion for caring for others and worked as a nurse's aide for several years before retiring. In 1985, she received certification in a Power Sewing course through the Columbus Public Schools Division of Vocational Education, which enabled her to do alterations for local dry cleaners. Rose enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, skating, playing cards, dancing, and making people laugh, which came easily to her.Rose was preceded in death by four brothers, George Frazier, Nathan Frazier, Michael Frazier, and Kenny Frazier, and two sisters, Kathleen Sherieff and Elaine Chaney.Leaving in cherished memory is her son, Richard Frazier; three sisters, Dorothy Evans, Sedell Griffin (Edward), and Jeanette Ware; her nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins in Atlanta and Columbus, and friends.PUBLIC VIEWINGMonday, March 9, 20263:00 PM - 8:00 PMMURRAY BROTHERS CASCADE CHAPELTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
