Rosco Jackson ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Rawls Mortuary on Mar. 10, 2026.Rosco Lydell Jackson Sr., age 75, of South Bend, Indiana, passed into glory on Saturday,February 28, 2026, at 3:45 a.m. in his home, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Roscowas born on May 26, 1950, to Henry and Mary Jackson.Rosco attended Washington High School in South Bend and later completed his education inWaynesville, Missouri. During his school years, he played basketball and ran track, where hewas affectionately known as "Squirrel"On May 19, 1984, Rosco married the love of his life, Victoria Love Jackson. They shared 42years of marriage. Rosco often said, "Victoria was the first person to show me a Godlylove-looking beyond all my faults and seeing my needs."On November 11, 1994, Rosco fully surrendered his life to the Lord under the leadership andmentorship of Superintendent Pastor Joe W. Howard at Elizabeth Memorial Church of God inChrist. Later, on September 10, 2000, God called Rosco and Victoria to birth Unity in GodThrough Christ Outreach Ministry, Inc. The ministry began with 12 members and was overseenby Roderick and Audrey Jones of New Creation Ministry. Rosco was blessed with a churchfamily that was faithful, loyal, dedicated, and loving. He will truly be missed by them all.One of Rosco and Victoria's greatest passions was helping others through outreach programssuch as S.L.A.C. (Saving the Lost at All Cost) and S.W.A.T. (Soul Winning Across Town). Theycarried a deep passion for reaching lost souls. Through God's guidance, they opened twohomes to minister to those in need: Unity Home for Men and Eunice House for Women. To thisday, many lives continue to remember Rosco's words of encouragement and compassion.Rosco worked for AM General and later drove for Transpo City Bus for over 40 years. He oftenreferred to this as his first pulpit, as he ministered to countless people during his years ofservice. In July of 2015, Rosco retired from Transpo following the passing of his beloveddaughter, Precious S. Jackson.Rosco's greatest loves in life were God, his wife, his family, his loving church members, and hisdogs. He had a special affection for Doberman Pinschers, German Shepherds, Great Danes,Rottweilers, Cane Corsos, and Bullies.Rosco made many friends throughout his life, but he held a special love for the Lakesidecommunity, whom he loved dearly. Through those friendships, he experienced the true meaningof family love and loyalty.Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Victoria Love Jackson;He is survived by the Jackson Dynasty, including:Andre (Toi) Gunn of South Bend, IN; Monica Clark of Arizona; Consuella (Alphonso) Hopkins Jr.Brian (Tanya) Jackson of Indianapolis, IN; Terrance (Vonda) Jackson of South Bend, IN;Tameia (Ronald) White of Kansas City, Missouri. Vincent A. Jackson of Saint Paul Minnesota;Destiny (Andrew) Russell of Cleveland, Ohio. Keenan L. Jackson; Myquise Jackson; Rosco(Lilliy) Jackson Jr.; Brandon Jackson all of South Bend, IN; Shapree Jackson of Fort Wayne, IN;Angel (Kalsely) Hendrix, of South Bend, IN; Brenda Haithcox of North Carolina and Monique(Larry) Harvell of South Bend, In Codie (Maurice) Bell of Georgia; Sister, Consuella Davis(Dave) of Wildwood, MissouriRosco's legacy also includes over 130 grandchildren, over 70 great-grandchildren, and morethan 50 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of loving family members and friends.Rosco was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; his parents, Henryand Mary Jackson; his brother, Anthony R. Jackson; his daughter, Precious S. Jackson; his son,Niles L.
