Rosanne Marie (Barton) Mork

Rosanne Marie (Barton) Mork

December 1, 1968 March 8, 2026

Beavercreek, OH

Rosanne Marie (Barton) Mork, born December 1, 1968, passed away on March 8, 2026 at the age of 57 in Beavercreek, Ohio, after a three-year battle with cancer. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth (Dutmers) Barton, her father, Terrence Barton, her siblings Thomas Barton (Angela) and Terrence Barton Jr. (Sara), her husband Brian Mork, her children Lydia Mork and Alec DeVries (Carly), and her step-children Elliot Mork, Tori Mork, Dakota Mork, and Quinlyn (Mork) Jackson. She was preceded in death by her infant identical twin sister, Anna Marie.

After college, Rosanne channeled her strong academic gifts in corporate management into founding her own tap and ballet studio and dance company. She later joined the dance faculty at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. She went on to earn a Master of Divinity degree and ordination, yet chose to live out her calling by ministering in the kitchens of American families. She married Brian Mork on December 19, 2009, when they were both serving as college dormitory resident directors, trusting that God gives marriage as both blessing and sanctification. As a devoted US Air Force spouse, she supported Brian throughout his career. In 2015 they returned to the Midwest to be near family as he concluded thirty years of military service.

Rosanne embraced life in an 1850 brick farmhouse, where she homeschooled her daughter Lydia, led a homeschool co-op, and authored the book Eternal & Present: 40 Days unto The Spirit. She worked for many years as a choreographer and lighting designer at the Performing Arts Academy in Middletown, Ohio. Her kitchen table became a cherished gathering place for those seeking Christ, just as she had hoped. She faced her illness with prayerful conviction and a heart set on God’s path, looking forward to the day she would be reunited with her loved ones. Her family misses her deeply. Soli Deo Gloria.
