Rosa Lee (Gibson) Stavinoha, age 92, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born on February 4, 1934, in Oklahoma City to Ray and Rosa (Gatz) Gibson, she grew up in her hometown, graduating from Mount St. Mary Catholic High School before attending business school. In December 1964, she married the love of her life, Robert Stavinoha. The couple shared nearly six decades together until his passing in 2023. They found joy in bowling together and were longtime members of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
Rosa worked for a time with an insurance company, yet her true calling was creating a warm and loving home for her family. Her house welcomed anyone who needed a place to belong, and she was remembered as a “mom” to many, especially during the holidays. She lived by the belief that there was always room for one more, offering generosity and love without hesitation.
Her greatest joy came from her family. She cherished time spent with them, making them laugh, and being “Nana” to her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Pop,” her parents, and her brother Raymond. Rosa is survived by her three sons, Robert John Jr. and his wife Rosalie, Michael Ray and his wife Robbie, and Stephen J. and his wife Tammy; seven grandchildren, Nicole Rose, Sarah Ann, Michael Allen, Rachel Lynn, Laura Dawn, Nicholas Andrew, and Zachary Stephen; seven great-grandchildren, Jonah, Cooper, Trevor, Ryker, Nora, Charlotte, and Nico; and many other loving family members and friends.
