Ronnie Mabery

December 16, 1946 March 1, 2026

DeSoto, MO

Ronnie Mabery of DeSoto, formerly of Ironton, passed away on March 1, 2026 at the age of 79. Born on December 16, 1946, Ronnie brought warmth, sincerity, and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He possessed an extraordinary gift for connection, drawing people in with his genuine smile and remembering the details that mattered—birthdays, stories, and the small moments that made each person feel special.

Ronnie loved his large family deeply and was cherished in return. He had 20 siblings and more than 70 nieces and nephews, knowing them all and loving them with his whole heart. That love was warmly reciprocated by his family, including his brother Bryan (wife Becky) Mabery, sister Sharon (the late Ken) Belew, sister-in-law Alice Mabery, brother-in-law Clarence Kohut, and his many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was also lovingly cared for during the last four years of his life by the staff at Hillcrest Nursing Home, whom he considered family. Ronnie shared a special bond with his former housemates Tom Adams and Kelly Allan.

Earlier in life, Ronnie worked at a sheltered workshop and proudly participated in the Special Olympics. His gentle spirit, kind heart, and bright smile left a lasting impression on friends, caregivers, and all who crossed his path. He was preceded in death by his parents, Velma (Govro) and Ralph Mabery, as well as his many brothers and sisters.

Though he is no longer with us, the love Ronnie shared so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
