Ronald S. Peterson, 86, of Sebring, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on April 29, 1939, in Marshfield, Massachusetts, Ronald was the son of Roy A. and Emily E. (Nickerson) Peterson. Ronald attended college in his earlier years and went on to build a successful career as a Seabee, serving his country proudly through four tours in Vietnam. During his retirement, Ronald enjoyed his favorite pastimes: Catfishing, watching his favorite football teams play, and handcrafting Cypress Wood Clocks.
Ronald was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and looked forward to spending time and making fond memories with his family. He was also a life-long member of the VFW in his Sebring community.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorene Peterson; his children: son, Jerry Michael (April) Snell, and daughters - Theresa Wyona Mullins (John), Heather (Greg) Beck, and Dorene Lopez (Alan). Leaving to cherish his memory are 13 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
A memorial service celebrating Ronald's life will be held on March 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Stephenson Nelson Funeral Home, 4001 Sebring Pkwy, Sebring, Florida.Visitation with friends and family will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Ronald will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
