Belgrade, ME

Ronald R. "Ron" Peck, 82, of Belgrade, Maine, formerly of Plymouth, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 14, 1943, in Plymouth to Warren H. Peck and Mary (Costa) Peck, Ron was the youngest of four brothers. He was predeceased by his brothers Warren G. Peck, Harold C. Peck, and Earl Kenneth Peck. A proud graduate of Plymouth High School, class of 1961, Ron married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie (Trask) Peck, with whom he shared 61 devoted years of marriage.

Ron served his country in the Army National Guard from 1963 to 1969, including active duty in May 1968 during the Vietnam era. He went on to build a successful business, founding Peck’s Floor Covering in 1968, later known as Peck’s America’s Carpet Gallery. Working alongside Bonnie, he operated the business until 2003, earning the respect and friendship of countless customers through his integrity, craftsmanship, and personal care.

Above all, Ron was a loving family man. He is survived by his wife Bonnie; his sons Richard G. Peck and his wife Susan of Rockland, Steven B. Peck and his wife Helen of Kingston, and Christopher A. Peck of Maine; and six cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Peck of Plymouth, Brendon Peck of Rockland, Dana Peck of Denver, Colorado, and Cassandra, Grace, and Joshua Peck of Kingston. Ron found his greatest joy in the outdoors—hunting, fishing, and boating—and in gathering family and friends at his home in Maine, where he passed along his love of nature and created memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His steady presence, generous spirit, and warm smile will be deeply missed.
