He was predeceased by: his wife Evanne Janet Bauer (Kuna); and his siblings, Theodore G., William E., Robert Bauer and Elizabeth Goddard.

He is survived by: his daughters, Marlene Bauer of Bedminster and Adrianne Farrell (Michael) of Florham Park; his grandsons, Michael and Christian Farrell; his sisters, Barbara Kooyenga (Fred) of Mesa Goodyear, AZ and Carolyn Zaleski (Richard) of East Hanover; his sisters-in-law, Joanne Bauer of South Carolina and Nancy Minard of Lake Hopatcong; his siblings' children, Lisa, Karen and Jeff; and his close friend Eunice Dickerson of Madison.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hancliffe Home For Funerals (222 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Family RC Church (1 Lloyd Ave, Florham Park, NJ 07932). An entombment will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Restland Memorial Park (77 Deforest Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936).
