Ronald Polk ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Samart Funeral Home of Houma - Bayou Blue on Mar. 16, 2026.Ronald "Ronnie" Polk, a native of Gibson and resident of Thibodaux, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the age of 65.Ronnie loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He loved being in his boat on the water fishing. He enjoyed watching LSU baseball and fishing videos. Ronnie was a dedicated welder for 45 years. He was a great dad, grandpa and man. He was loved by all who knew him.He is survived by his children, Jenni Polk, Jozie LeCompte (Sam), Jeremy Polk (Megan) and Summer Volquardts (Dodi); granddaughters, Adell, Addison, Abree, Alexis, Alanis, Ava, Ariah-jo and Mya; and siblings, Teri Ellsworth and Shane Polk (Gayla).He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Zyla Celeste P.; parents, Frances and Elmer "Jay" Polk Jr.; and brother, Michael A.
