Ronald Owen Clark

Ronald Owen Clark, 90, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on July 22, 1935, Ronnie graduated from Amarillo High School in 1954. He then served in the United States Army before marrying Vonda May Laundry, who preceded him in death. Together they raised three sons—Reece, Rex, and Cliff Clark—and one daughter, Valerie Palmer, all of whom also preceded him in death.

Ronnie spent his working years as a land surveyor and, after retiring, served as a custodian for the Amarillo Independent School District. He was a longtime member of the Amarillo Lions Club and The First Baptist Church of Washburn, Texas. He shared a particularly close and loving bond with his older sister, Bonnie Bragg of Amarillo.

He is survived by his sister, Bonnie Bragg; daughters-in-law Sandra Clark and Marsha Clark; five grandchildren, Tony Palmer, Veronica Greavel, Jerrod Clark, Rachel Rodarte, and Chad Clark; many dearly loved great-grandchildren; niece Susan Sanders and her husband Gene; and nephew Jim Bragg and his wife Annette.
