Lee Williams Chapel on Mar. 9, 2026.Ronnie was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1949 to Geneva Morrison. He was theeldest of 10 kids, an adventurer from the beginning, always looking for something orsomewhere new to discover. A lover of music and travel, he was well versed in manydifferent cultures.Ronnie attended Tech and Central high school in Omaha, Nebraska before joining theUnited States Marine Corps to serve his country during the Vietnam War. During thatservice he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam CampaignMedal, and the Rifle Marksman Badge. He continued with his military service as aReservist and a Department of Defense Army Corps of Engineer employee, workinghard to provide for his family, until he retired.Ronnie was a devoted and loving father of 5 children, Dominic Phillips, Ron Phillips, Jr.,Shawnta Dean (Ward), Shana Williams (deceased), and his baby Jaru Phillips, who alldearly miss him and the life lessons that he imparted to them. He took great pride in allhis children, Grandchildren (Andrew, Simone, LaDrae, Peyton, Gabe, Pharrell, Elijahand Paris, Isaiah), and a host of Great Grandchildren. He will also be missed and lovedby former wife(s) Vickie and Connie, and current wife Maricelle.Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother Geneva, his sisters Teresa and Tracey,brother Derek Crawford, third wife Patricia, and step-daughter Shana.
