Ronald Lee Holbeck

Ronald Lee Holbeck, age 85, of Gaines, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on September 22, 1940, in Genesee, he was the son of Frank and Alice (Cunningham) Holbeck. Ronald attended Beecher High School and married Rexine May Kingsbury on August 18, 1969, in Toledo, Ohio. She preceded him in death on August 12, 2010. For the past 14 years he had made his home in Gaines, having previously lived in Highland.

He retired from GM Fisher Body in Pontiac after 21 years of service and was a longtime member of the Gaines Lions Club. Ronald will be remembered as a devoted family man who cherished his relationships with those closest to him.

He is survived by his siblings, Robert Holbeck of Flushing, Doris (Bill) Henry of Flushing, William (Linda) Holbeck of McKenney, Texas, and Frank (Carolyn) Holbeck of Swartz Creek; his stepchildren, Harold (Mary) DeMott, Dennis DeMott, Keith (Clara) DeMott, Norman DeMott, Lorraine (Richard) Smith, and Leon (Sherry) DeMott; along with his grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Alice Holbeck; brothers Duane and Larry Holbeck; and sisters Patricia Jackson, Sharon Firman, and Kathryn Stewart.
