It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald L. Tretter of Steeleville, Illinois, who passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reno Tretter and June Stewart Tretter; and his siblings, Mary Moore and David Tretter. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Tretter of Steeleville, IL; his children, Patrick Tretter of Carterville, IL, Heather Mandrell (Adam) of Pittsburg, IL and Leanna Kilpatrick (BIll) of Steeleville, IL; his grandchildren, Johanna Young (Jacob), Addison Mandrell, Adian Kilpatrick, Bryton Kilpatrick and Colin Kilpatrick; his great grandchild Reid Young; and his siblings, Doris Claxton of Jacksonville, FL, Joe Tretter of Steeleville, IL, Richard Tretter of Marion, IL, Bruce Tretter of Perryville, MO and Annette Hornbostel of Chester, IL..

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Wilson's Funeral Home (509 W Illinois St, Steeleville, IL 62288). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
