Ronald L. Thayer Sr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald L. Thayer Sr. (Fredericksburg, Virginia), who passed away on March 6, 2026 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Thayer and Nelson Thayer; and his siblings, Joan Alexander, Dick Thayer and Bill Thayer.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Thayer Wilson (TC), Kimberly Thayer Johnson and Ronald Thayer Jr.; his grandchildren, Troy (Katie), Ashton, Stacey (Cody), Thomas (Kaley), Ronnie III (Diamond), Dominique and James; and his siblings, Shirley Sieck, Debby Thayer and Tommy Thayer. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Covenant Funeral Service - Fredericksburg (10830 Patriot Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22408). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Stafford Volunteer Fire Department, Department 2, the Eagles Lodge or your favorite charity.
