He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hoag of Oakland, MN; his children, Michael Hoag of Austin, MN, Jeffrey Hoag (Lori) of Sun Prairie, WI and Debra Abramowitz (Timothy) of Des Moines, IA; his grandchildren, Megan Hoag of Sun Prairie, WI, Levi Abramowitz (Katelyn) of Waukee, IA, Jannae Abramowitz of Ankeny, IA, Evan Abramowitz (Emma) of Ankeny, IA, Melody Hoag of Madison, WI and Grant Abramowitz (Justine) of Ames, IA; his great grandchildren, Lilyann, Theo, Thomas Abramowitz of Waukee, IA and Raiden Walker of Madison, WI; and his siblings, Ernest Hoag (Joyce) of Lonsdale, MN, Robert Hoag of Yucca, AZ, Margaret Schellhase (Mark) of Waverly, IA and Ruth Ostrander (William) of Sandwich, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Faith Church (1800 12th St SW, Austin, MN 55912).
