Ronald F. Taylor, 87, died on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Kingston Court Skilled Nursing and Rehab.

He was the husband of Jane F. Taylor, sharing almost 32 years of marriage.

Ronald was born in Dallastown, PA, on January 28, 1939, son of the late Francis and Alverta I. (Geesey) Taylor.

Ronald graduated from William Penn High School and went on to serve in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller. After being discharged from the Air Force, Ronald worked as a route manager for Warner’s Dairy and later as a manager for Wolf’s Supply Company before starting his own general contracting business, R.F. Taylor and Sons. He loved working with his hands and could often be found building birdhouses. An avid gardener, he took great pride in growing vegetables not only for his own enjoyment but also to donate to the The Salvation Army. Ronald also enjoyed hunting and spending time in the mountains.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Michael Taylor; Teresa Markey (Steve); D. Allen Taylor (Kris); and Bonnie Taylor (Brent); a daughter-in-law, Deb Taylor; two stepchildren, Steven Ebersole (Mary Ann) and Stacy Osman (Aaron); 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, David Taylor (Tina); a sister-in-law, Sue Taylor, and his beloved dog, Posey. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Taylor; his brother, Phil Taylor; and his sister, Joyce Linebaugh.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Church of the Open Door-East York, 4075 E. Market Street, York, immediately followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments with Ronald’s family. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. Details on the military service will be announced in the near future for anyone who wishes to attend.
