Ronald F. Groulx

Passed March 7, 2026

Linwood, MI

Ronald Francis Groulx, 87, of Linwood, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of March 7, 2026. Born April 2, 1938, in Bay City to Francis and Helen Groulx (both predeceased), he graduated from Visitation High School in 1956.

He married Donna Lee Gillette on June 7, 1958, at Holy Family Klacking Creek Catholic Church, sharing 63 devoted years until her passing. Ronald worked as a cutter grinder at General Motors (UAW Local 362), retiring after 29.7 years.

He was a humble, honest man and the last of his generation in the Groulx family. He was the last of the old breed. He was the king of one-liners, and he could always spark laughter. Ronald cherished family time. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, canoeing, Christmas parties, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his green 3/4-ton extended cab truck.

Ronald was predeceased by his spouse Donna, his daughter Tammy, and his brother Donald Groulx.

He is survived by his children: Ricky Groulx, Dawn Groulx (Rollie), Donnie Groulx (Anne McCarthy), Sue (Groulx) Murphy (Ray), and Ronald Groulx II (Linda Briggs); sister-in-law Dorothy Groulx; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was a beloved son, brother, husband, son-in-law, brother-in-law, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, great-great grandpa, uncle, and friend.

Public. Visitation will be held at Rivertown Funeral Chapel of Kawkawlin, on Saturday, March 14th, from 10:00—12:00p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at the same location, beginning at 12:00p.m. Burial to follow at St. Anne Cemetery in Linwood. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Covenant Hospice.
