Ron Galbreath ObituaryVisit the Lane Funeral Home and Crematory - South Crest Chapel - Rossville website to view the full obituary.Ron Galbreath, 81, of Ringgold, Georgia, and formerly of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026.Ron was a native of Savannah, where he graduated from H.V. Jenkins High School in 1962. He proudly served his country as a Vietnam veteran in the United States Air Force, working as Military Police and in the K-9 Unit. Following his service, Ron returned to Savannah and attended Armstrong State College, earning a bachelor's degree in English.Ron was a longtime owner and operator of Galbreath's Chevron Service Station in Savannah, where he faithfully served his community for over 20 years. He was a member of White Bluff United Methodist Church and was also a Shriner with the Alee Temple.In 2001, Ron and his beloved wife relocated to Greenville, South Carolina, where they made their home for 24 years. Ron found great joy in spending time with his family and friends, as well as with his cherished rescue dog, Ruthie. He was known for his warm personality, never meeting a stranger, and his wonderful sense of humor. Ron had a deep love for dogs, especially German Shepherds, and was a man of many interests. It was said that his hobby was collecting hobbies which led to countless yard sales over the years.Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Corean Galbreath, and his sister, Judith Lynn Galbreath.He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Brenda Pittman Galbreath; two sons, Carey Galbreath and Mark (Melissa) Galbreath; and four grandchildren, Tanner, Allie, Declan, and Jonah.Condolences may be shared with the Galbreath family by visiting www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.A private family service will be held at a later date.Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge in Rossville, Georgia.Read The Full ObituaryTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
