Rolando Lozano
April 16, 1935— March 6, 2026
Dallas, TX
Rolando Lozano was a man of quiet strength, unwavering integrity, and deep devotion to his family. A dedicated father and husband, he taught his daughters the value of hard work, honesty, and dependability through his own example. He rose early to provide for them, kept every promise he made, and always placed his wife first, opening doors and showing the gentle courtesy that defined him as a true gentleman.
His daughters cherished countless memories of his presence in their lives. They recalled late nights waiting for him to return from work, rushing out to greet him with hugs, and the care he showed when a late-night pencil injury sent them all to the hospital. A skilled jack of all trades, Rolando built a life-size dollhouse for his girls, constructed storage rooms, and repaired a car transmission with patience and ingenuity. He taught them to drive a stick shift in his beloved 1966 Chevy, took them on memorable day trips across Texas, and created joy in simple moments, from Halloween costumes and funny faces to homemade Coca-Cola floats, chile con queso, and his special apple pie.
Rolando loved his family fiercely and extended that warmth to everyone around him. He greeted callers with a cheerful “Howdy” that made each person feel truly welcome, even telemarketers. He inquired about his son-in-law Juan, his lifelong friend Francisco Arevalo, his neighbors Tinita and Alberto DelRio and their family, and even asked about his daughters’ pets. A patriotic veteran who served in the infantry, he remained devoted to his wife, his daughters, and all things Texas. With a grip like a vice and a heart full of tenderness, Rolando was the hero his daughters always admired, a man whose soft smile and generous spirit touched everyone he met.
