Roger Willis Hallford

Roger Willis Hallford, 82, of Canton, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Wellstar Tranquility at Cobb, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 13, 1943, to the late Bill and Elois Hallford, Roger was raised in Toccoa. He lived in Gainesville and Atlanta before making his home in Canton for the last 20 years, where he was a member of Antioch Christian Church. A U.S. Army veteran and proud graduate of Georgia Tech, he built a career in the manufacturing industry in industrial management. Above all, Roger was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was deeply cherished by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louise Hallford of Canton; daughters and sons-in-law, Cammie and Tony Neal of Helen, Melissa and Chris Overby of Acworth, and Lori and Evan Hill of Gainesville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother; and other relatives.

A private family graveside service will be held at Broad River Baptist Church Cemetery in Eastanollee, Georgia, with a celebration of life service to be announced at a later date.
