Roger W. Oldfather

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger W. Oldfather of Kiester, Minnesota, who passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Roger W. Oldfather to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Oldfather and Martha Oldfather (Goette); his wife LaVonne Marie Braund of Savior's Lutheran Church; his sister Twyla Bennett (Larry); his in-laws, Rosemary Oldfather, Keith Braund, Vern Braund (Bonnie), Jean Ellertson, Marlys Harig (Bob) and Jean Helland (Rudolph); his close friend Sheryl Marie Fure; and his sibling's children, Kristi Harig, Randy and Vern Braund.

He is survived by: his children, Bruce W. Oldfather and Marie Helland (Curt) of Emmons, MN; his grandchildren, Jacob Helland of Conger, MN, Danielle Helland (Richard Johnson) of Shakopee, MN and Cole Oldfather; his great grandchild Sutton Helland of Conger, MN; his close friend Jeremy Fure of Kiester, MN; his brother Warren Oldfather of Kiester, MN; and his in-laws, Alice Braund of Kiester, MN, Wayne Ellertson of Charles City, IA and Lynn Wirkkala (John) of Rogersville, MO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
