Roger Martin Taegel

Roger M. Taegel, age 70, passed away on March 12, 2026.

Roger was a devoted husband and cherished his family deeply. He brought energy and laughter to every gathering, delighting in time spent with his nieces and nephews and always making sure everyone was having fun.

He had a lifelong passion for his 1966 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia, proudly displaying it at car shows and earning several awards for the meticulously cared-for vehicle. Roger also carried great pride in his service with the United States Marine Corps. Inducted on December 6, 1974, he served from 1974 to 1977, rising to the rank of Lance Corporal before his honorable discharge on January 21, 1982.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Josephine Taegel, and his brother Tom Taegel. Roger is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda (Gragg) Taegel, his sisters Anita Hedges of Lone Jack, Missouri, and Martha Allen of Minnesota, his brothers Richard Taegel of Liberty, Missouri, Harold Taegel of Charlotte, North Carolina, Larry Taegel of Kansas City, Missouri, and David Taegel of Belton, Missouri, and his sister-in-law Debbie Taegel of Phoenix, Arizona.
