Roger Arnold Hutchinson

Roger A. Hutchinson, 82, left this world on March 7, 2026 to be with his heavenly father.

Roger was born in Phelps, N.Y to W.M and Ruth Hutchinson on June 21, 1943.

He was a dedicated and proud Marine, Master Mason, and a Shriner. Roger served his country from 1960-1964. He was a worshipful master of Corinthian lodge in 1989 in Norfolk, VA. He was captain of Khedive Desert Patrol in 1988 with the Shriners. He was Jr. Steward of Perquimans Masonic lodge #106 of Hertford.

Faithful member of Chapel on the Sound where he loved working in the kitchen and would volunteer for anything to help someone.

Hutch as he liked to be called was a very special man and the best husband a woman could ask for. He was respected and loved by many, especially by his wife who loved him beyond belief.

Hutch was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Douglas and Ed. And step-son Mark Burgett. He is survived by his wife Ruth of Hertford, N.C; son W.M Hutchinson of Elizabeth City, N.C; step-son Phillip Walker of Hertford, N.C and W.M Walker of Kingsport, T.N; cousin Becky O Donnell of Canandaigua, N.Y, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Service to be at a later date at Chapel on the Sound, also Masonic Rites.
