July 11, 1950— March 5, 2026
Coventry, RI
Roger Angelo DiQuinzio, 75, of Coventry, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at his home on March 5, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on July 11, 1950, at Truesdale Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts, he was the son of Evelyn (Balasco) Dorsi and the late Angelo DiQuinzio. His grandparents immigrated from Italy and became the first Italian family to settle on Maple Avenue in Barrington, Rhode Island, where they established the Vienna Bakery, which continues to this day.
Roger will be remembered above all for the deep love he held for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen (Copeland) DiQuinzio, and their cherished daughter, Crystal DiQuinzio. He also leaves behind his grandson, Kyle Tanner; his great-grandson, Jax Tanner; his mother, Evelyn Dorsi; his siblings, Celeste Dorsi and Robert DiQuinzio; an uncle; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graduate of Barrington High School, Roger earned a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies. He worked for the State of Rhode Island as a road surveyor and later as a paralegal and housing inspector until his retirement. He was a passionate sports fan, especially devoted to the Cleveland Browns and the Boston Red Sox. He cherished time spent fishing with his grandson Kyle and enjoyed an active life, riding bikes with his wife along local paths. In his younger years he excelled in baseball and was known for his remarkable ability to throw a football 70 yards with accuracy from his knees. Roger also found joy in classic American muscle cars, old black-and-white B horror movies, The Twilight Zone, The Rifleman, and the music of his favorite band, The Monkees.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
