Rodney William Harris Jr.

1965 — 2026

Okeechobee, FL

Rodney "Roddy" William Harris, Jr., 61, of Okeechobee, Florida, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on January 22, 1965, in Louisville, Kentucky, Roddy was a private man who found joy in simple pleasures. He loved fishing, was an avid NASCAR and football fan, and enjoyed all sports. He took pride in gardening, cooking out, and tackling projects as a skilled handyman. He especially cherished decorating for Christmas for his family, spending time with animals, watching television—particularly the Hallmark Channel—and taking long drives in the car to anywhere.

Those who knew him will remember his quiet nature and the gentle humor captured in the family’s fond reminder: “Don’t hand the man a scratch off ticket!”

Roddy was preceded in death by his father, Bill Harris, and his son, Steven Harris. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan L. Harris, of Okeechobee, Florida; his mother, Meredith Harris, of Deerfield Beach, Florida; his son, Rodney Harris, of Georgia; his stepson, Michael A. Sinicropi, of San Diego, California; his sister, Melissa Harris, of Deerfield Beach, Florida; and his fishing buddy, Paul “Crabby” Crabtree, of Okeechobee, Florida.
